The Dock beach features stunning views of Charles Fort. This beach is part of a beautiful loop walk featuring the historical James Fort. 

Charles Fort is Kinsale’s most impressive historic attraction. Constructed in the 17 th century, during
the reign of King Charles II, this star-shaped fort was garrisoned by the British army until 1922.
Charles Fort offers breath-taking panoramic views of Kinsale town and harbour, and looks out onto
the Old Head of Kinsale. Standing on the banks of Charles Fort you can see James Fort across the
bay; together these two forts served as guardians to Kinsale’s harbour.

Kinsale Yacht Club

Stroll and sit with two budding historians, Don Herlihy and Barry Moloney, to enjoy a colourful story of Kinsale down through the ages.

The 18-hole Kinsale Golf Club is home to an attractive parkland course, with a few water features to test all standards of golfer.

Enjoy panoramic views of Charles Fort, James Fort and other Kinsale sites aboard the ‘Spirit of Kinsale’ harbour tour. The schedule is displayed on the harbour-cruise sign, located both at the tourist office and the departure point along the pier.

Garretstown is a stunning sandy beach located 20-minutes’ drive from Kinsale and is a popular spot for surfers.
